What is Therapy?

Therapy is a unique process that can support you in the areas of your life where you may feel stuck, and it can increase your understanding of the way you engage with the world and with yourself. Therapy can also help to provide clarity, and a sense of feeling heard, supported, and understood.

Psychotherapy or counselling, is an invaluable tool that can help individuals explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a safe and supportive environment. It is a collaborative process between the client and therapist, where deep-rooted issues are addressed, and personal growth is fostered.

Approach to Therapy

I work from a humanistic, person-centred, and relational framework, meaning that I believe that every one of my clients has the capacity to fulfil their own potential. I believe that given the right conditions and emotional support, that people are able to change for the better.

My style of therapy is very relaxed and approachable, while being gentle, supportive, and offering genuine compassion and care. I am aware that ‘recovery’ and a full, enriching life looks different for everyone, and I endeavour to create a collaborative and nurturing space for my clients to express themselves.

During my sessions, I provide a space and a relationship that allows clients to safely self-explore, a space where there is no judgement or agenda.

I may teach strategies, teach you about your brain and body, and how you can take charge of your own wellbeing. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, together we can decide what approach feels most comfortable and works best for you.

If you feel ready to begin your therapy journey or would like to understand more about what working together could look like, please get in touch.
